Inverkeithing & Dalgety Bay Ward Conservative Councillor and North Queensferry resident, Dave Dempsey, has welcomed the inclusion of the B981 in North Queensferry in the list of prospective road repairs for 2020-21.
Cllr Dempsey said “Local residents and North Queensferry Community Council have been asking for ages for repairs to the B981 which is the road into the lower part of the village. Parts of the road are in a dreadful state, most notably the decorative setts by the War Memorial, which are steadily sinking. I was concerned at one stage in the process that the limited funds allocated to South & West Fife were to be spent in areas with sparse population and limited traffic but officers have listened to local councillors and the public and come forward with a good set of projects for next year.
“These will be formally considered in Inverkeithing on Wednesday and I look forward to work starting asap”.
