Cowdenbeath & Kirkcaldy - Jonny Gray
Jonny Gray has been selected as the Scottish Conservative & Unionist candidate for Cowdenbeath & Kirkcaldy.
Jonny has been working in sports advisory and risk management for twenty years worldwide having first had a fast stream, highly successful military career over twenty one years. In 1984, he won the Sword of Honour at RMA Sandhurst and then completed a Masters Degree in International Politics at Cambridge University. He retired from the Army in 2005 after commanding The 1st Battalion, The Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in action during the Iraq War. As a result he was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service (QCVS) in 2004.
He is married, lives in Edinburgh and has two grown up sons. He loves all sports and regards watching the Calcutta Cup as the highlight of his sporting year.
He believes that Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy, and indeed all of Scotland, needs a fresh start after 17 years of distraction and division under the failing SNP administration in Holyrood. The people of Fife deserve an MP who will finally put their priorities first: the economy, more and better jobs, tackling inflation and the cost of living, getting rid of the punishing SNP tax levy on hardworking Scots, and restoring our vital public services; the Scottish NHS, education and transport
