Dave Dempsey, Scottish Conservative Councillor for Dalgety Bay, says it’s time to fix Moray Way South.
Cllr Dempsey said “One of my long-term objectives is to get the whole of the main circuit in Dalgety Bay up to scratch. I’ve had some success to date with major projects at the west end of Moray Way and on Moray Way South below Dalgety Bay Primary School but the rest of Moray Way South is in a poor state.
“Up till now, the Area Roads Programme, over which councillors have a lot of control, has restricted itself to the deep repairs that almost rebuild the road. In some places, that’s what’s required but it’s expensive so we can only get short sections fixed each year. The bit of Moray Way South from Doune Park to the St Bridgets Roundabout would take years.
“However, I’ve been lobbying to get thin surface treatments, which don’t involve digging down, incorporated, so that local councillors can take a broader view of what’s needed. I’m told by the Council team that this section is being considered for the 2026-27 Programme, so hopefully we’re nearly there.
