Voters in Scotland have been urged to “finish the story and close the book” on the SNP’s demands for independence.
The Scottish Conservatives have said Thursday’s General Election vote is a chance to “end the SNP’s bid for independence for good”.
The SNP have put independence on “page one, line one” of their manifesto.
John Swinney has also said every seat the SNP wins will be used as a “mandate” to try to demand independence.
Scottish Conservative deputy leader Meghan Gallacher said: “People in Scotland have a huge opportunity on Thursday to end the SNP’s bid for independence for good.
“After a decade of the SNP refusing to accept the result of the 2014 referendum, there is a real chance for voters to finish the story and close the book on independence for good.
“Voters can make all the difference in the key seats up and down Scotland where it’s a straight choice between the Scottish Conservatives and SNP.
“In those key seats, only a vote for the Scottish Conservatives can beat the SNP. A vote for any other party – like Reform – or not voting at all risks the election of a nationalist obsessed with independence.”
